# Buy credits and control automatic top-ups

> Confirm a pack purchase and understand the consent and caps for optional automatic payments.

A top-up adds purchased credits to a subscription-plus-credit wallet. A one-off purchase and automatic top-ups have different controls and should be reviewed separately.

## Buy a pack

1. As the owner, open **Settings → Billing** and inspect the available packs.
2. Select the intended pack and review its exact price and credit quantity in checkout.
3. Complete Stripe checkout, then return to Billing.
4. Confirm the purchased credits and receipt before starting the work you intended to fund.

The current new-plan packs are 250 credits for \$25, 800 for \$75, and 2,400 for \$200. Legacy workspaces have their own packs. Purchased credits have no fixed expiry, but paid use still needs an eligible active subscription or trial.

If payment succeeds while the balance remains unchanged, refresh and keep the receipt. Avoid buying another pack to solve a pending payment-state update.

## Enable optional automatic top-ups

**Automatic credit top-ups** is off by default. It requires an active eligible subscription, the owner's default saved card, and explicit consent. A trial alone does not meet the active-subscription requirement for this setting.

1. Review the threshold under **Top up when available credits are at or below**.
2. Select the **Credit pack** and both monthly ceilings: the credit limit and the USD payment limit.
3. Check the **Automatic payment consent** box, then choose **Enable auto top-up**.
4. Use **Save limits** for later limit edits. Reload the panel to confirm its saved state, pack, threshold, caps, and any paused reason.

These ceilings use the UTC calendar month. They limit automatic credit purchases; they do not limit Meta ad spend or every credit-consuming task.

## Resolve a paused or pending payment

If the card needs authentication, payment fails, or the outcome is uncertain, automatic top-up can pause. Update the card through **Manage billing**, resolve the existing payment, and explicitly enable the setting again when ready.

Turning it off stops new attempts; a payment already accepted can still settle. Use **Cancel pending payment** only when offered and check the resulting state. Refunds and disputes do not automatically restore monthly automatic-purchase headroom.
