# Connections FAQ

> Find the next step for a missing account, expired connection, read-only access, or unavailable setup.

Start in **Settings → Connections** for the provider you use. A successful provider login and access to the intended account are separate checks.

## Why is my Meta account missing?

Check the Facebook profile used to connect, its business membership, and its ad-account permissions in Meta. In **Settings → Connections → Meta → Ad Accounts**, check that the account is selected. Teammates also need the owner to give them access in **Settings → Team**. [Connect or reconnect Meta](/connections/meta).

## I connected the right login. Why do I see the wrong account?

Use the sidebar selector to choose the intended Meta account. For Google Ads, check **Settings → Connections → Google Ads → Select Google Ads customer** and its customer ID. Switching Meta accounts does not change the Google Ads customer. [Use Google Ads](/connections/google-ads).

## When should I reconnect?

Reconnect when the product reports expired authorization or missing provider permissions, or you need to correct the authorized identity/account choices. For old or empty results, first check the account, period, and [report freshness](/intelligence/freshness); reconnecting is not a substitute for choosing the right dates.

## Why can I read performance but not change ads?

Management also depends on your role, provider permissions, plan, and the supported action. Read the reason beside the disabled control. An account marked read-only can still supply performance data. [Understand permissions and approvals](/automation/permissions).

## Does selecting a client workspace give me account access?

No. It groups accounts and websites for work. Ad-account access depends on your role, the accounts granted by the owner, and provider permissions; websites have separate access. Ask the owner to check the appropriate permission. [Understand the account structure](/workspace/structure).

## What if setup is unavailable?

Follow the reason displayed in the product. A new provider login, AutoAdy API key, or larger credit balance does not enable an unavailable connection. For a supported source with a persistent setup error, [contact support](/help/contact) with the provider, account ID, and exact message.

## Does connecting a source start spending?

Connection and report viewing do not launch ads. Later ad changes use the permissions and confirmation rules of their workflow. Google Ads reporting does not make Meta Autopilot operate on Google campaigns. [Review action permissions](/automation/permissions).

## Will disconnecting a provider cancel AutoAdy?

No. Connection access and the subscription are separate. Before disconnecting, check tasks that depend on that source. To stop AutoAdy renewal, [cancel your subscription](/billing/subscriptions#cancel-and-verify).
