# Connect or reconnect Meta

> Choose the Facebook identity, business, and ad accounts that AutoAdy can reach.

A Meta connection provides access to the ad accounts allowed by your Facebook identity and Meta's authorization screen. Selecting an account in AutoAdy then makes it available for your workspace's work.

## Before you begin

Check that your Facebook profile can access the intended business and ad account in Meta. A teammate's AutoAdy access is also controlled by [workspace roles and account grants](/workspace/team). Granting access in Meta does not automatically invite that teammate to AutoAdy.

## Connect

1. Open [Settings → Connections → Meta](https://app.autoady.io/settings?tab=connections), or choose **Connect Meta account** in the sidebar. During onboarding, the button is **Connect with Facebook**.
2. Sign in with the Facebook profile that can access the intended ad account.
3. Review Meta's requested permissions. AutoAdy requests access for analysis and optional management tools. Choose the relevant business and accounts before continuing.
4. Return to AutoAdy and review **Ad Accounts**. Select which accounts should be visible, within your workspace's displayed limit.
5. Use the sidebar account selector to choose one, then open **Meta Ads** and check its name and currency.

## Confirm the connection

Verify both the connected identity and the selected account. A successful Facebook sign-in alone does not prove the ad account you need is available. An account marked read-only can still provide performance data while management controls remain unavailable.

## Recover a missing or expired connection

If an account is missing, first check the Facebook profile, business membership, and ad-account permissions in Meta. Reconnect from **Settings → Connections → Meta**, reviewing the account choices again. If you are a workspace member, ask the owner to confirm your AutoAdy account grant as well.

For a permission or expiration error, reconnect and retry the original read. If it persists, record the account ID and displayed error for [support](/help/contact).

<Note>Opening reports does not apply ad changes. Optional management actions still require the permissions and confirmation used by that workflow.</Note>

If you disconnect a source, future reads and management through it can fail. Check any [scheduled tasks](/automation/scheduled-tasks) that depend on the connection.
