# Choose email briefings and notifications

> Control outgoing messages and distinguish the cross-platform brief from a Meta report.

Use **Settings → Email** to choose outgoing notifications. These preferences are separate from the [Email Agent](/agent/email), which receives questions at a private address, and from [client report schedules](/workspace/reports).

## Set your preferences

1. If no preferences exist yet, choose **Enable Email Notifications**.
2. Check the destination shown under **Email Notifications**. It identifies the configured address or your account email.
3. Turn on the master **Email notifications** switch, then choose the daily briefing digest, budget waste alerts, weekly report, and rule triggers you want.
4. For a combined account summary, enable **Cross-platform brief — Monday, Meta and Google in one message**. This also turns on the weekly report setting it depends on.
5. Reload the panel and check that your choices were saved. Read the first delivered message's accounts, dates, and source coverage before relying on its summary.

The cross-platform brief and Meta report are separate deliveries. Enabling both can produce separate emails; their data sources and periods need not match. A message summarizing connected sources cannot include a source you have not connected or cannot access.

## If an email is missing or unexpected

Check the master switch first, then the switch for that message type. A saved preference does not prove that an underlying report or scan completed. Review the relevant account connection and [data freshness](/intelligence/freshness), and check your inbox's spam or filtering rules.

If an account summary looks wrong, compare the account IDs, dates, timezone, currency, and result definitions. Changing a delivery preference does not change attribution settings or provider data.

To stop outgoing notifications, turn off the master switch. This does not disable the Email Agent's private incoming address or cancel an independent scheduled task. Manage those separately. For support, include the expected message type, destination with sensitive details redacted, and approximate delivery time; never forward private credentials or account access links.
