# Invite teammates and set access

> Choose a role and account grant, then verify the teammate sees only the intended workspace data.

A teammate's role controls what they can do. Their account grants control where they can do it. Review both when inviting or changing access.

## Roles

| Role | Typical access |
| - | - |
| **Owner** | Manage the workspace, team, subscription, and settings, subject to plan and provider permissions. |
| **Media Buyer** | View and manage ads, budgets, and creative work for assigned accounts. |
| **Client Viewer** | Read campaign performance, analytics, and shared reports for assigned accounts. |

A role does not bypass Meta permissions, credit requirements, or feature availability. Billing remains controlled by the workspace owner.

## Invite and verify

1. As the owner, open [Settings → Team](https://app.autoady.io/settings?tab=team).
2. Open the invitation form and enter the teammate's email. Choose **Media Buyer** or **Client Viewer** and an optional **Display Name**.
3. Under **Account Access**, choose **All accounts** only when that is intended. Otherwise select the specific accounts the teammate needs.
4. Review the role explanation, then choose **Send Invite**.
5. Ask the teammate to accept using the intended verified email identity. Check the invitation status in your team list.
6. Have them confirm the expected accounts in their selector and open a permitted report. For a viewer, management controls should remain unavailable.

## Update or remove access

Review the existing role and account selection before editing a member. Confirm the saved state after the change. Use the supplied resend action for an expired invitation, rather than inviting several identities to solve the same problem.

When a teammate leaves or a client's access should end, use the member-access controls and verify the resulting state. Removing a workspace grant is separate from changes to their Facebook business membership.

## If an account is missing

Check the invited identity, accepted status, account grant, and connected-account visibility. A client workspace selection organizes work but does not grant team access. Website grants are also distinct from ad-account grants.

If a seat or feature limit blocks the invitation, review the current capacity in [Billing](/billing/subscriptions).
